Quick answer
What are the main terms for renting a Cobaltfell VPS?
Cobaltfell rents Linux VPS with dedicated vCPU for terms of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, charged to a prepaid crypto balance, with no KYC. The seller is DomaineGoat LLC, registered in Panama, and only Panamanian law and Panamanian courts govern the contract. Foreign copyright notices get no action. A VPS left unpaid keeps its disk for 7 days before erasure, and refunds follow the refund policy.
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
The Cobaltfell VPS service, the https://cobaltfell.com website and the customer dashboard all fall under these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). DomaineGoat LLC, a limited liability company incorporated in Panama, sells and operates the service. Throughout these Terms, "we" refers to DomaineGoat LLC, while "you" refers to whoever holds the account.
You accept these Terms as soon as you open an account, add funds to a balance or use a VPS. They also take in three further documents, each binding in the same way: our privacy policy, our refund policy and our acceptable use policy.
2. Eligibility
- Accounts are open only to people who are at least 18 years old.
- Residents and companies of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, China, Yemen and Western Sahara, and of the occupied regions of Ukraine, cannot use the service.
- Neither you nor any person or company you act for may appear on a sanctions list.
- Where you live, you need the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
3. Your account
An account number is the only login you need, and an email address stays optional. No KYC at any point: no ID, no selfie, no documents, no card and no phone number.
- Treat the account number as a password: anyone who has it controls the account, its balance and every VPS on it.
- Keep your account number safe, because it is the only key to your account. Add an email and a lost number can be sent back to you; with no email, nobody can restore it.
- Anything done with your account number, your SSH keys or your root password is your responsibility.
- Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number, your root password or your private SSH key, by email or in a chat.
4. What we provide
Linux virtual servers on KVM whose vCPU are dedicated: each vCPU of your plan is held for your VPS alone, on server processors launched in 2022 or later, with NVMe storage and root access over SSH. A vCPU is one hardware thread of the host processor. Yours are pinned one to one to your VPS and never lent to another customer, and the two threads of a physical core stay together, so every 2 vCPU make one whole core that no neighbour shares. Full load is allowed for as long as your work needs it: no CPU credits, no burst window and no throttling after some minutes at 100%.
- Plans: Fell 2 $10.49, Fell 4 $19.49, Fell 8 $38.24 and Fell 16 $129.87 a month on the 12-month term ($14.98, $27.84, $54.63 and $185.53 month to month). RAM, NVMe and traffic for each plan appear on the pricing page.
- Processor: Every plan runs on AMD EPYC 9004/9005 server processors (Zen 4 / Zen 5), a family first launched in November 2022; a VPS is never moved to an older node without telling you first.
- Memory and disk: The RAM of your plan is set aside for your VPS and is not overcommitted. NVMe storage on every plan.
- Cities: Amsterdam (Netherlands), Zurich (Switzerland) and Bucharest (Romania): all four plans in all three cities, at one price.
- Operating systems: Linux images only: Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux. Windows is not offered. Images on offer today: Debian 13, Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 10, Rocky Linux 10.
- Access: Root over SSH. Paste a public key at checkout and password login stays off; leave the field empty and the team sets a temporary root password, shown in your dashboard, that you replace at first login.
- Server actions: Reboots and reinstalls are asked for from the dashboard and carried out by the team; a reinstall wipes the disk.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are stated in US dollars. Rent a VPS for 1 month, 3 months (10% off), 6 months (20% off) or 12 months (30% off) at a time. A longer term costs the monthly price times its months, minus its discount, rounded down to the cent: Fell 8 is $54.63 for 1 month, $147.50 for 3, $262.22 for 6 and $458.89 for 12. A renewal repeats the term of your order at the same price, unless you choose a different term for the next one in your dashboard.
- We take crypto and nothing else: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, XMR. Tether (USDT) may be sent on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USD Coin (USDC) only on Ethereum (ERC-20), and Bitcoin only on-chain. Monero (XMR) travels on its own network and is credited after 10 confirmations; the Lightning Network is not among the accepted options.
- Funds go into a prepaid balance, with a minimum top-up of $1, and every term you order is then charged to that balance.
- Pay the exact amount, to the address and over the network that the payment page displays; coins sent over a different network may never arrive.
- The network fee of your own transaction is yours to cover.
- Before a payment is credited, the address that sent it is checked against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses whenever its blockchain makes that address public; money from a listed address is never credited.
- New prices affect new orders only, and a term you have already paid for keeps the price you paid.
6. Delivery
A member of the team builds each VPS by hand once the payment is confirmed, a job of minutes rather than seconds: the dashboard shows the progress, then the IP address once the VPS boots. Delivery time: 1 hour at most after your payment is confirmed; most VPS are ready within a few minutes. Your term starts counting once the VPS is ready, not at the moment of payment. When a VPS cannot be built, nothing is created and its full price remains on your balance, as the refund policy sets out.
7. Terms, renewal, suspension and deletion
Each VPS is paid from a prepaid crypto balance for the term chosen at checkout: 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. With auto-renew on, the same term is taken from the balance again at the price of your order, unless you set a different term for the next renewal in the dashboard; if the balance falls short, the VPS stops when its term ends, its disk is held for 7 days and then erased.
The base period is 30 days, and each term lasts its own number of days: 30 for 1 month, 91 for 3 months, 182 for 6 months and 365 for 12 months.
- Renew early: the dashboard lets you renew a VPS before its current term runs out.
- Change the term: a different term can be chosen in the dashboard for the next renewal; the term already paid stays as it is.
- Auto-renew turned off: once the paid days are used up, the VPS is suspended and its disk is held for the same 7 days.
- Coming back: renew inside those 7 days and the VPS starts again with its disk untouched; after day 7 the disk is erased for good.
- Delete: deleting a VPS ends it at once and wipes its disk, and the unused days on it are not credited.
- Reinstall: the disk is wiped, then the image you select is installed from scratch.
8. Your data and backups
Backups are not part of any plan: keep a copy of your data somewhere else. The data on your VPS, and any copies of it, are your responsibility. Once a disk has been reinstalled, deleted or held past its 7 days, no one is able to bring it back.
9. Network, traffic and mail
- Each VPS gets one IPv4 address and an IPv6 /64 on a 1 Gbit/s port. The monthly traffic of your plan counts outgoing data only, and going past it never adds a charge by itself.
- Outbound port 25 is blocked on every VPS and is not opened on request; ports 465 and 587 towards a mail provider stay open.
- Using the IP addresses of your VPS for anything the acceptable use policy forbids is not permitted.
10. Acceptable use and mining
These Terms include the acceptable use policy. Not allowed: spam or bulk email, phishing, malware or botnet control, DDoS and other attacks, scanning or brute-forcing systems that are not yours, booter or stresser services, carding and fraud, child sexual abuse material, cryptocurrency mining, and any service to sanctioned people or companies. Mining any cryptocurrency is not allowed, on any plan and with any software. Your own heavy CPU work, such as builds, encoding, inference or databases, may run at full load, and a node that only validates a blockchain is not mining. Tor relays of every kind may run here, exit relays included, as well as bridges. Whatever runs on your VPS, and whatever is done there by anyone you share a login with, is your responsibility.
11. Copyright notices and the law we follow
DMCA notices and other foreign copyright claims receive no action from us: only Panamanian law and the orders of Panamanian courts bind us. Cobaltfell is operated by DomaineGoat LLC, registered in Panama, and the only law it answers to is Panama’s. Each datacenter, for its part, is bound by the law of the country it stands in.
Records leave our hands only when a Panamanian court orders it. Every record that exists is listed in the privacy policy, and that list holds no connection logs, no traffic logs and no IP address of a visitor or a customer.
12. Suspension
A VPS is suspended in two situations, and in no others:
- its term ends without a renewal (section 7);
- it is used for something the acceptable use policy forbids.
Copyright complaints from outside Panama are not acted on; Panamanian law and Panamanian court orders are what we follow. Spam, phishing, malware, botnet control, attacks of any kind and child sexual abuse material are banned and get the VPS suspended. Your dashboard marks a suspended VPS as such. When the suspension follows a breach of the acceptable use policy, the remaining days are not credited, since the refund policy covers only the cases it names. Appeals go to [email protected], quoting the order reference and the IP address of the VPS. Whenever you want to stop using the service, deleting your VPS ends it.
13. Availability
No uptime figure is promised. Maintenance work, the datacenter network or events beyond our control can interrupt a VPS. No DDoS mitigation is sold or promised beyond the default filtering of the datacenter network. When a VPS stops and support cannot get it running again, each day it was out of service returns to your balance. Plans, cities and images may be added or withdrawn for new orders, but a term that is already paid keeps what you ordered.
14. Disclaimers
The service comes "as is" and "as available". There is no promise that a VPS fits a particular purpose, or that a given website or service will accept its IP address. Nor is there any promise about the country in which IP geolocation databases place that address.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent Panamanian law permits, we bear no liability for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or for lost data. For any claim, our total liability is capped at the price paid for the current term of the VPS concerned. No part of these Terms limits a liability that Panamanian law forbids us to limit.
16. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because you broke these Terms or the acceptable use policy, you cover the reasonable costs and losses that result.
17. Governing law and courts
The law of the Republic of Panama governs both these Terms and the service. Any dispute about either falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Panama.
18. Changes and language
We may revise these Terms. Each revision carries its own date at the top of this page and governs every new order, renewal and continued use from that day. English is the language of these Terms, and where a translation says something different, the English wording prevails.
19. Contact
- Support: [email protected]. A person answers support emails within 12 hours, seven days a week, including help with SSH keys, reinstalls and firewall rules.
- Abuse desk: [email protected].
- We recognise you by an order reference (ORD-…) or by the IP address of your VPS; your account number should never appear in a message. What a message should include is explained on the contact page.
