What each plan holds, how the 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month terms are priced, the reference plan behind every price on 2 November 2026, and what is not included.
How much does a VPS with dedicated vCPU cost at Cobaltfell?
A Cobaltfell VPS costs $10.49 to $129.87 a month on the 12-month term, for 2 to 16 dedicated vCPU, and $14.98 to $185.53 month to month (prices of 2 November 2026). Fell 8 has the best price per vCPU, $4.78. There is no setup fee, and you pay in crypto with no KYC.
How many cores, for how long, in which city?
What does each plan cost?
Four plans, named after their count of dedicated vCPU. Each one is paid from your crypto balance for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months at a time; switch the term above the cards to see the monthly cost on it. The price is the same in Amsterdam, Zurich and Bucharest. At checkout you pick the term, the city, a Linux image and, if you want, an SSH key.
Every plan doubles the one before it: twice the vCPU, twice the RAM, twice the NVMe and twice the traffic. The ratio stays at 2 GB of RAM and 40 GB of NVMe per dedicated vCPU, so moving up a plan never leaves one resource behind.

On every plan:
vCPU: A vCPU is one hardware thread of the host processor. Yours are pinned one to one to your VPS and never lent to another customer, and the two threads of a physical core stay together, so every 2 vCPU make one whole core that no neighbour shares.
Processor: Every plan runs on AMD EPYC 9004/9005 server processors (Zen 4 / Zen 5), a family first launched in November 2022; a VPS is never moved to an older node without telling you first.
CPU use: Full load is allowed for as long as your work needs it: no CPU credits, no burst window and no throttling after some minutes at 100%.
Memory: The RAM of your plan is set aside for your VPS and is not overcommitted.
Storage: NVMe storage on every plan.
Network: Each VPS gets one IPv4 address and an IPv6 /64 on a 1 Gbit/s port. The monthly traffic of your plan counts outgoing data only, and going past it never adds a charge by itself.
Systems: Debian 13, Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 10, Rocky Linux 10. Linux images only: Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux. Windows is not offered.
Access: Root over SSH. Paste a public key at checkout and password login stays off; leave the field empty and the team sets a temporary root password, shown in your dashboard, that you replace at first login.
Which plan fits my workload?
Size a dedicated-vCPU VPS by the number of jobs that run at the same time, not by the peak of a single one. A vCPU here is a thread you keep, so four parallel jobs need about four vCPU, and the RAM follows at 2 GB each.
Fell 2 fits one always-busy process: a CI runner that takes one job at a time, a small PostgreSQL for an app in production, an API with steady traffic, or two headless browsers.
Fell 8 fits video encoding with FFmpeg, larger compiles such as Rust or C++ projects, and a database that also runs its own reports. It has the best price per vCPU.
Fell 16 fits build farms, batch encoding and small language models on CPU, where cores and memory bandwidth decide the pace.
These are starting points, not measurements: Our own YABS and Geekbench 6 results, together with the steal time we measure, will be published with their date once our first test machine is delivered. Until then we quote no performance figure of our own.
What do 3, 6 and 12-month terms save?
You prepay each VPS for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, and a longer term lowers the monthly cost by 10%, 20% or 30%. Rent a VPS for 1 month, 3 months (10% off), 6 months (20% off) or 12 months (30% off) at a time. A longer term costs the monthly price times its months, minus its discount, rounded down to the cent: Fell 8 is $54.63 for 1 month, $147.50 for 3, $262.22 for 6 and $458.89 for 12. A renewal repeats the term of your order at the same price, unless you choose a different term for the next one in your dashboard.

A term is paid in one go from your balance. Its price is the monthly price times its months, less its discount, rounded down to the cent; the monthly figure is that total divided by 12, as the checkout shows it.

Each VPS is paid from a prepaid crypto balance for the term chosen at checkout: 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. With auto-renew on, the same term is taken from the balance again at the price of your order, unless you set a different term for the next renewal in the dashboard; if the balance falls short, the VPS stops when its term ends, its disk is held for 7 days and then erased.
A term runs for its own days: 30, 91, 182 or 365. If a VPS cannot be built, or stops and support cannot restart it, the days lost go back to your balance; the refund policy shows how a day is valued on each term.
How is the Cobaltfell price set?
According to Cobaltfell's survey of 2 November 2026, 6 of the 51 VPS hosts that take crypto without ID sold a comparable dedicated-CPU plan; each Cobaltfell tier is priced against one of those plans, named in the table below, and sits at least 25% under it on the 12-month term. The full rule: On the 12-month term, each plan is priced at least 25% under a named reference plan (prices read on 2 November 2026): Fell 2 against RDP.monster's “Swift” at $13.99 a month; Fell 4 against RDP.monster's “Velocity” at $25.99 a month; Fell 8 against HostSailor's “Commodore” at $50.99 a month; Fell 16 against Hiddence's “Ryzen-5” at €155.00 ($173.17) a month. A plan can serve as a reference only if it is comparable: its own host says the CPU is dedicated, the processor was launched in 2022 or later, it has at least as many vCPU with 2 GB of RAM and 20 GB of NVMe per vCPU, an IPv4 address is included, it is billed one month at a time and it is in stock. Of the 51 VPS hosts that accept crypto and ask for no ID at signup, 6 had such a plan (Servury, RDP.monster, HostSailor, Cherry Servers, VPSLab and Hiddence); for each tier, the reference is the comparable plan among them with the smallest monthly price. Only one plan met the rule at 16 vCPU, so Fell 16 rests on a single host. SporeStack, BitLaunch and NoctHost also take crypto without ID but are left out: SporeStack asks every new account for a first deposit of $1,000, BitLaunch shows its prices only after you log in and NoctHost publishes only “from” prices. Euro prices use 1 EUR = 1.1172 USD (ECB reference rate of 30 October 2026), and the month-to-month price is the 12-month monthly price divided by 0.7.
The table shows the reference plan of each tier. Each reference is a monthly price; ours on the same line is the 12-month price per month.
Which plan is each price compared with?

Reference = a named plan at a host of the survey that accepts crypto and asks for no ID at signup, whose own page says the CPU is dedicated, on a processor launched in 2022 or later, with at least the vCPU, 2 GB of RAM and 20 GB of NVMe per vCPU of the tier, an IPv4 address included, billed monthly and in stock; where several plans qualify, the one with the smallest monthly price. Each Cobaltfell plan has at least the RAM and the NVMe of its reference.
Euro prices converted at 1 EUR = 1.1172 USD (ECB reference rate of 30 October 2026). "Dedicated" is each host's own word, quoted in the survey; nobody has published a measurement of it.
What this rule does not say. We do not claim to be the cheapest at every size, or on every term:
Month to month, each plan costs about 7% more than its reference ($14.98 for Fell 2 against $13.99). The 25% gap holds on the 12-month term.
Per vCPU, HostSailor is lower: HostSailor Commodore works out at $3.19 per vCPU, with 1 GB of RAM per vCPU where our plans have 2.
With older or unnamed processors, plans cost less: AlexHost P2 was €12.00 ($13.41) on an Intel Xeon Platinum 8268 (launched in 2019).
Fell 16 rests on one host. Only Hiddence sold a 16-vCPU plan that met every condition; its company and country are not named on its site.
No setup fee: you pay the price of the term you pick, on the first order and at each renewal.
Not charged: setup, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, reinstalls, a change of term at renewal, and traffic past your quota. Each VPS gets one IPv4 address and an IPv6 /64 on a 1 Gbit/s port. The monthly traffic of your plan counts outgoing data only, and going past it never adds a charge by itself.
Not included, so you can plan around it:
Backups: Backups are not part of any plan: keep a copy of your data somewhere else.
DDoS protection: No DDoS mitigation is sold or promised beyond the default filtering of the datacenter network.
Windows: Linux images only: Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux. Windows is not offered.
Mail on port 25: Outbound port 25 is blocked on every VPS and is not opened on request; ports 465 and 587 towards a mail provider stay open.
A free trial: There is no free trial: the smallest plan, Fell 2, costs $14.98 for one month, or $10.49 a month on the 12-month term.
Lightning: Bitcoin is taken on-chain only; the accepted coins are BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, XMR.
How payment works
Top up $1 or more
Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, XMR). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.
Send it to the address shown, on the exact network
The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin, XMR on Monero. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.
Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”
Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how we find your payment and link it to your account.
Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain
Your balance is credited once we have checked the transaction on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation times:

Order your VPS
Choose a plan, a term, a city, a Linux image and, if you like, an SSH key; the top-up matches the price of that term. Once the payment is confirmed, a person builds the VPS, most often in a few minutes and in 1 hour at most, and its IP address shows in your dashboard. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.
Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays under Billing in your account: open it to see the address and the exact amount again.
Pricing questions
Why is the 12-month price the one shown first?
Because the price rule is set on it: on the 12-month term each plan is priced at least 25% under its named reference plan. Month to month costs that price divided by 0.7, so the 1-month price of Fell 2 is $14.98.
Can I change the term later?
Yes, at renewal. A term runs to its end at the price you paid, and the dashboard lets you choose 1, 3, 6 or 12 months for the next one.
Do prices differ between Amsterdam, Zurich and Bucharest?
No. Amsterdam (Netherlands), Zurich (Switzerland) and Bucharest (Romania): all four plans in all three cities, at one price.
Is there a discount for several VPS?
No. Each VPS is priced on its own by plan and term; the only discount is the one a 3-, 6- or 12-month term gives.
What happens if my balance cannot cover a renewal?
Each VPS is paid from a prepaid crypto balance for the term chosen at checkout: 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. With auto-renew on, the same term is taken from the balance again at the price of your order, unless you set a different term for the next renewal in the dashboard; if the balance falls short, the VPS stops when its term ends, its disk is held for 7 days and then erased.
Will my price go up at renewal?
A renewal repeats your term at the price of your order. A change in our price list applies to new orders, not to a term you already paid.
