Quick answer
How does Cobaltfell build and run a VPS with dedicated vCPU?
Cobaltfell builds each VPS by hand, usually minutes and at most 1 hour after a confirmed crypto payment, on AMD EPYC 9004/9005 processors. Every vCPU is pinned one to one to a host thread that no other VPS receives, the RAM is reserved, and root signs in with your SSH key or a temporary password. The operator is DomaineGoat LLC, registered in Panama (rules as of 2 November 2026).

Pick a plan, a term and a city at checkout, then send BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, XMR: the top-up equals the price of that order. Minimum top-up $1.

How are the vCPU of a Cobaltfell VPS pinned?
Pinning ties each virtual CPU of your VPS to one fixed thread of the host processor, and keeps every other virtual machine off those threads. Without it, the hypervisor moves vCPU from thread to thread and shares threads between customers; that sharing is what turns into steal time.
A vCPU is one hardware thread of the host processor. Yours are pinned one to one to your VPS and never lent to another customer, and the two threads of a physical core stay together, so every 2 vCPU make one whole core that no neighbour shares. Keeping both threads of a core together matters for more than speed: two customers on the two halves of one core compete for the same caches and execution units. The arithmetic is in is a dedicated vCPU a core or a thread. According to Cobaltfell's survey of 2 November 2026, only one of the six other no-KYC crypto hosts selling dedicated cores on a 2022-or-later processor, Cherry Servers, said how its vCPU map to physical cores.
The RAM of your plan is set aside for your VPS and is not overcommitted. Full load is allowed for as long as your work needs it: no CPU credits, no burst window and no throttling after some minutes at 100%.
KVM does this with libvirt's vcpupin setting, which maps each vCPU to a host CPU, while the host keeps its own threads apart from yours.
Which processor will my VPS run on?
Every plan runs on AMD EPYC 9004/9005 server processors (Zen 4 / Zen 5), a family first launched in November 2022; a VPS is never moved to an older node without telling you first. Inside the VPS, lscpu shows the model the host passes through.
What will Cobaltfell publish about performance?
Our own YABS and Geekbench 6 results, together with the steal time we measure, will be published with their date once our first test machine is delivered. Until then we quote no performance figure of our own.
The plan is simple: run YABS and Geekbench 6 on each plan size, log steal time over a full day of load, and post the raw results with the date, the city and the CPU model, as described in how to benchmark a VPS with YABS or Geekbench 6.
Do I need an SSH key?
No, but it is the better way in.
- With a key: paste the public half (the
.pubfile) at checkout. It is installed for root, and password login stays off. - Without a key: the team sets a temporary root password and shows it, masked, in your dashboard. Sign in once, run
passwd, and the old one stops working.
Never send a private key or a password to anyone. Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number, your root password or your private SSH key, by email or in a chat.
# on your own computer: a new key pair (the .pub file is the one to paste)
ssh-keygen -t ed25519 -C "cobaltfell"
cat ~/.ssh/id_ed25519.pub
# first login, with the IP address from your dashboard
ssh [email protected]
# if you ordered without a key: replace the temporary root password
passwdWhat can I do from the dashboard?
Reboots and reinstalls are asked for from the dashboard and carried out by the team; a reinstall wipes the disk.
The dashboard also shows each VPS with its plan, term, city, IP addresses and end date, and lets you renew early, switch auto-renew on or off, and set the term of the next renewal.
Which law applies to Cobaltfell, and what happens to DMCA notices?
Cobaltfell is operated by DomaineGoat LLC, registered in Panama, and the only law it answers to is Panama’s. Each datacenter, for its part, is bound by the law of the country it stands in.
DMCA notices and other foreign copyright claims receive no action from us: only Panamanian law and the orders of Panamanian courts bind us.
These are the company's rules, applied the same way to every customer; the full text is in the terms of service and the acceptable use policy.
What does Cobaltfell keep, and what does it log?
We run no connection logs and no traffic logs, and we store no IP address of a visitor or a customer, whether on this website, in the dashboard or on the servers.
What we hold is what billing and running a VPS need: your account number, and an email only if you add one; each top-up and order (amount, coin, network, transaction ID, date); and for each VPS its plan, term, city, image, SSH public key, IP addresses and dates, plus the temporary root password we set when no key was given, which no longer opens the VPS once you change it. The network gear of each datacenter belongs to the datacenter, not to us. Records leave our hands only on an order of a Panamanian court.
The privacy policy lists every record, why it exists and how long it stays.
Are Tor relays and mail servers allowed?
Tor relays of every kind may run here, exit relays included, as well as bridges. Outbound port 25 is blocked on every VPS and is not opened on request; ports 465 and 587 towards a mail provider stay open.
The forbidden uses are few and listed: Not allowed: spam or bulk email, phishing, malware or botnet control, DDoS and other attacks, scanning or brute-forcing systems that are not yours, booter or stresser services, carding and fraud, child sexual abuse material, cryptocurrency mining, and any service to sanctioned people or companies.
What happens when a term ends?
A term starts when the VPS is ready, not when you pay, so the build time is never billed. Each VPS is paid from a prepaid crypto balance for the term chosen at checkout: 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. With auto-renew on, the same term is taken from the balance again at the price of your order, unless you set a different term for the next renewal in the dashboard; if the balance falls short, the VPS stops when its term ends, its disk is held for 7 days and then erased.
What does Cobaltfell not do?
- No backups: Backups are not part of any plan: keep a copy of your data somewhere else.
- No DDoS protection: No DDoS mitigation is sold or promised beyond the default filtering of the datacenter network.
- No Windows: Linux images only.
- No uptime percentage: none is published; days lost to an outage return to your balance.
- No Lightning: payment is in BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, XMR, with Bitcoin on-chain only.
- No free trial: There is no free trial: the smallest plan, Fell 2, costs $14.98 for one month, or $10.49 a month on the 12-month term.
What other questions do people ask about how Cobaltfell works?
Is my VPS built automatically?
No. A member of the team builds each VPS by hand once the payment is confirmed, a job of minutes rather than seconds: the dashboard shows the progress, then the IP address once the VPS boots. 1 hour at most after your payment is confirmed; most VPS are ready within a few minutes.
Can another customer ever use my vCPU?
No. A vCPU is one hardware thread of the host processor. Yours are pinned one to one to your VPS and never lent to another customer, and the two threads of a physical core stay together, so every 2 vCPU make one whole core that no neighbour shares.
What if I lose the temporary root password before changing it?
It stays in your dashboard, masked, until you change it. If you are locked out after changing it, ask support for a reinstall; a reinstall wipes the disk.
Does Cobaltfell keep connection logs?
We run no connection logs and no traffic logs, and we store no IP address of a visitor or a customer, whether on this website, in the dashboard or on the servers.
Who answers support emails?
A person answers support emails within 12 hours, seven days a week, including help with SSH keys, reinstalls and firewall rules. Write to [email protected] with your order reference, never your account number.
